The river Festival is held on the first Saturday of August every year. It is held to commemorate the traditional trading route in olden days. When the Chinese traders came in by boat, they beat gongs upon reaching a trading point along the riverside. Villagers will then come with their product, such as the “Damar”, to trade. Retrace the route during the River Fest and participate in activities such as the rafting competition.
